“Homedoor” is the certified NPO in Osaka city, which provides homeless people
with accommodations and help them to find work opportunities.
The founder Kana Kawaguchi has been interested in “homelessness” in Osaka
since she was a junior high school student.

Homedoor(ホームドア)は、大阪でホームレスの方々を支援する認定NPO法人です。
ホームレスの方々に宿泊施設を提供したり、職探しを支援したりしています。
創設者の川口加奈さんは、中学生の頃からホームレス問題に関心を持ち、
炊き出しのボランティアなどに参加していました。

She says, “Because now I am aware of the issue, I have a responsibility to act.”
「(問題を)知ったからには、行動する責任があります」と彼女は言います。

Because I had listened to Ms. Kawaguchi’s lecture twice(first in 2018, secondly two weeks ago),
I also have a responsibility to act. I can’t leave it because homelessness could happen to everyone.
I am now writing an article on this issue for middle school students.
